Anishinaabe Pottery by Shaelynn Recollet
Locally harvested and processed on Manitoulin Island by Anishinaabekwe Shaelynn Recollet under the mentorship and guidance of David Migwans. Shaelynn is a visual artist, traditional crafter, and ceramics artist from Wikwemikong Unceded Territory that bases her art on memory, dreams, and her understandings of traditional teachings and stories.
Her work with clay reflects her painting style and her carefully developed and unique style of art and way of interpreting what she sees, experiences, and learns.
The clay is made from 100% natural materials harvested on Manitoulin Island.
